Θ Α Ν Α Τ Ο Σ
The greek word for death
Design for t-shirt and backpatch
for the noisy DIY scandinavian d-beaters ELECTRIC FUNERAL (swe)
The main idea behind this piece is the circle of life through my eyes.
Starting from the lowest part is represented the ancient laws of coexistent groups, named society, raising humans in cynical apathy and making freedom of will, action and expression, far-fetched utopias. Humans that breed stillborn children in a fated tragedy of daily rutines, thus the grotesque awareness of people metaforically born-dead. It proceeds on the gradual battle of the social rules with the inner sentimental needs of human nature, the inevitable agony and mental breakdown, those who kneeled before the cynical overload on their quest for pureness, truth and survival. Leading unquestionable force as depicted, dominating death whos' been there since dawn, spreading his shreads in every occasion waiting for our final breathings to fade away, having apathy and society as his greatest friends and allies.
Old-school blackmetallish logo for Electric Funeral:
T-shirts and Backpatches of "thanatos" design,
soon available through Phobia Records and D-takt &Rapunk.
Το σκίτσο του θανάτου το αφιερώνω στην ευτυχία του καθημερινού μας τίποτα
και σε όλους εκείνους που μέσα του κυνηγούν, δόξες και μεγαλεία.
